Gemotions

The soft click of the keyboard was the only sound in the room, accompanied by the gentle purr of the cat curled up on his lap. He was engrossed in his work, the words flowing effortlessly across the screen. The late afternoon light cast a warm glow over the room.

A brief knock on the door. It was Mr. Chen, his normally bustling demeanor replaced with a surprising shyness. “Excuse me, Mr. Davis,” he began, “I was hoping to ask a favor. Would you consider allowing me to grow some herbs in a small section of your yard?”

He paused, then smiled and closed his laptop. “Absolutely, Mr. Chen. Whatever you need.” He gestured with a relaxed wave of his hand. "Sounds fantastic." The cat stretched and yawned, then settled back into place.
